Bedford County currently has more
than 750 dedicated volunteers staffing 24 fire and EMS agencies in 30 stations
placed strategically throughout the county. Bedford County Fire and Rescue
volunteers are proud men and women who dedicate their time and talents to
protect the lives and property of the citizens and visitors of our beautiful
community. Trained to state and national standards, our volunteers respond to
more than 5,000 EMS and 2,000 fire incidents each year.
Volunteers are people just like you who are willing to devote time every day to
saves lives and property. No prior training necessary, just a desire
to learn. There is always room for one more good person on our team. Being a
volunteer will allow you to do things that you never imagined.
Because Bedford County Fire Stations and Rescue Squads are staffed by
volunteers, we cannot offer you a salary. But we can offer you much, much more.
